Mimi

MIMI

Wrapped in the warm fragrance
of the everyday
she moves mountains –

only to stumble
on the commonplace.

Complacency
so easily destroyed.

I try to capture it
with words, they writhe
relentlessly. She laughs

allows the world
to write
its affirmation.
